Shari Jae Ebere
Chair Trans United Europe
Shari-Jae has been a tireless advocate for years — from her work with the Trans United Trans Clinic to her role as manager of the T-Huis in Amsterdam, where she created a safe space for many. In 2021, she shined as a Pride Ambassador, championing visibility for trans people, trans migrants, and people with disabilities.

Maurice Bel
Maurice Bel is an enthusiastic and ambitious language virtuoso, fluent in four languages. He is passionate about finding new challenges that allow him to utilize his linguistic skills. Maurice is a team player who values strong interpersonal relationships and a positive work environment. His communication skills and ability to approach problems with a solution-oriented mindset make him a valuable asset in any setting. Maurice has a diverse educational background, including training in healthcare and languages. He has experience working as a nurse and assistant in a private clinic in Morocco, and in the Netherlands, he has volunteered in various healthcare roles, including as a vaccination worker and an inclusion coordinator for the Trans Amsterdam Foundation. He is currently focused on furthering his career in a role that leverages his language skills and his passion for helping others. His interests include photography, cycling, and swimming, and he is proficient in IT tools. Maurice’s commitment to continuous learning and his drive to contribute positively to any team make him an ideal candidate for roles in multicultural and dynamic environments.

Alma Aguilar Betancurt
Alma is a proud trans woman and human rights defender from Abya Yala/Colombia. With an MA in Human Rights and Cultural Diversity from the University of Essex, she brings a wealth of experience from her work with regional and international organizations like the OAS, the UN, ILGA World, and Aidsfonds.
Alma’s advocacy spans the universal human rights system, where she has championed LGBTIQ+ rights and supported community organizing with Indigenous women of diverse and ancestral gender identities in Abya Yala/Colombia. Currently, she’s with Aidsfonds, advancing sexual and reproductive health and rights through the Love Alliance. She also serves as a Board member at GATE – Global Action for Trans Equality.

Samira Hakim
Secretary Trans United Europe
is a trans rights activist, and is involved with various boards and commissions to improve the emancipation of the trans community of color. She works as communty director of the Trans United Transclinic and office manager for Transgender Netwerk Nederland (TNN). In 2018 she was involved in the organization of a pre-conference “HIV Prevention among Transgender People: Advances and Challenges-AIDS 2018” in Amsterdam, in preparation for the 2018 AIDS Conference. She is dedicated to address issues that affect the trans community globally in regards to HIV and AIDS. On a local level, she has developed programs and projects such as Self Defense for Trans People, voice coaching, and the yearly commemoration of Transgender Day of Remembrance. She is very involved in trans empowerment.
