Social Support

Finding community is our access to finding care

Life comes with many challenges. For trans people with a migrant or bicultural background, these challenges can be ever more difficult, due to discrimination, social exclusion, xenophobia, or other causes of isolation. It impacts our mental health and it impacts our ability to navigate through the complex Dutch systems of social services and healthcare administration.

At Trans United Europe, we believe it gets easier to navigate the system if you don’t have to do this alone. Being connected with others whose footsteps you can follow, and who walked the path you still need to walk. Therefor, our care is centered around community. We believe our community should be part of the care system, and sometimes all it takes to find care is to be connected with community. Therefor, our locations offers space for social activities, social support, and collaborations with organisations that can help you find support for a variety of problems. Not scattered around the city, but a place where everything comes together. Community. Social Support. Care.
